- DRINKS BREAK! An entertaining first hour of play, with India striking early but despite those early losses, England managed to score 83 runs in 12 overs. Jamie Smith has looked impressive from the very first ball with the crisp sound of his bat, speaking volumes. Both Smith and Brook play at a similar tempo and have kept the scoreboard ticking nicely, with the stand currently worth 76 runs from 63 balls. As the ball gets older, there will be little assistance from the surface and that is where patience and control will be important for India. More than anyone, they need Prasidh Krishna to step up and bowl with discipline. Ravindra Jadeja was spotted loosening up and here he is after the break.
