Proud Mom Moment: Hillary Trocheck Calls Herself 'Proud Mom' As Will Cuylle Renews Contract With New York Rangers

Hillary Trocheck , wife of Vincent Trocheck might not really be mother to Will Cuylle but she's the mother who stepped up. As a rookie Will Cuylle lived with Vincent and his family rather than living in an apartment. No wonder their bond is this strong. And to their delight, the Rangers signed a 2 year contract with Cuylle worth 7.8 million dollars this week.

No One Could Be More Prouder Than The Trochecks Hillary took to Instagram and re-shared the New York Rangers ’ post and added a little heartfelt message “Proud of my son!!!! Proud mom”.

Back when Will Cuylle was a rookie, he was living out of a hotel in White Plains because he had no idea if he’d make the team. But when Vincent Trocheck got wind of his living situation he quickly stepped up. This made Trocheck reminisce about his own rookie year with the Florida Panthers. Knowing how tough his rookie year was, he wanted to make sure Cuylle doesn't feel alone. Thus opening the doors to his house and asking him to move in with his family in Harrison, New York.

“He was like, ‘If you’d rather stay here it’s up to you. You’re welcome to stay here,’” Cuylle said. “He’s an easy guy to get along with, great family.” Trocheck mentioned that Cuylle is loved by his kids and wife and has become a part of the family. He also joins the family for activities and dinner.

The new contract for Cuylle comes with a $3.9 million average annual value—a short-term bridge deal as the team and player weigh future long-term options.

And as of previous season, Cuylle finished the 2024-25 campaign with a six-point run in the last five regular-season contests.

And as the NHL fans state Will Cuylle is one of the promising players out there, they find the contract duration to be inadequate citing, he would be quite expensive after next two years. ‘The Rangers should have signed him up for 8 years as they did have resources for it,’ a fan stated.
