The inhibition of cancer cell proliferation and induction of apoptosis-programmed cell death-are believed to be the two things that mediate these actions. Although promising, human trials are required to validate these claims.
Milk thistle is one of the strongest natural remedies known to provide lots of medicinal benefits, but mainly for liver health, detoxification, and antioxidant protection. Moreover, it has been generally considered safe. But, for some drugs, it is capable of influencing them. There should be consultation with doctors before it is added to a regimen in one's life. Research is continuing, and thus, milk thistle, in the future, might be proven an ally best worthy in natural health and disease prevention.
