Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has posted on social media, amidst rumours linking him to the Manchester United managerial role. The heat is on for Ruben Amorim following a dismal start at Old Trafford. Despite this, Amorim still has the support of United's board, with insiders suggesting they are not currently considering replacements.
Following the 3-1 loss to Brentford, reports emerged that the club had drawn up a three-man shortlist to replace Amorim if results continue to falter. Gareth Southgate, Andoni Iraola and Oliver Glasner are said to be on that list, but several other names have also been linked with a move to United.
Zidane, the former boss of Real Madrid, has been consistently associated with a move to Old Trafford since his departure from Los Blancos in 2021.
The ex-French midfielder boasts an impressive record of 200 wins in 320 games during his tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he clinched two La Liga titles, two Supercopa de Espana, three consecutive Champions League titles, two UEFA Super Cups and two Club World Cups.
Despite earning numerous individual accolades during his time at Madrid, Zidane has not managed since leaving the club for the second time.

Recently, Zidane posted a photo on social media posing against the backdrop of New York's stunning skyline.
While he's clearly relishing his time off, it remains to be seen whether he can be lured back into the managerial fray soon - particularly if a call comes from United.
The ex-French international is also being touted as a potential successor to Didier Deschamps at the helm of the French national team, who has confirmed he'll step down after next summer's World Cup in the US.
"There's a coach in charge, there's a team, and you have to respect everything, and that's what we do," Zidane told Marca. "I've always respected football and the people, so it's not the right time.
"But when the time comes, it will be a great pleasure if the opportunity arises. I've put my career on hold for a while, but I fully feel like a coach."
