"A stunning, enormous beach. The most beautiful sand. No amusements. Really natural and great for a chillout. Horses are allowed but I'm not sure if they are restricted to a particular area. There's a good, large car park which does get full during busy times. This is one of my favourite beaches ever. So relaxing," one person wrote.
Recommending the beach to other, another visitor wrote: "We parked up on a car park in town and walked along the estuary to the beach. The walk was pleasant and enjoyable. The beach however was excellent. I loved all the multi coloured beach huts. Worth the effort to get there!"
The low tide beach is the ultimate destination to enjoy a stroll through an unspoilt landscape of sand, sea and sky. The beach is also home to large flocks of wintering birds and an important site for breeding Little Terns, Ringed Plover and Oystercatcher, making it the perfect visit for nature and animal lovers.
Horse riders can also take advantage of the vast gorgeous space as horse riding is permitted within certain times at the beach. Riders are requested to check tide times when planning to visit and urged not to bring dogs whilst riding.
If you're just planning to take a stroll, then you're more than welcome to take your furry friendly along with you. Dogs are welcomed all year round but from April 1 to August 31 they must be on leads in the most vulnerable areas of the beach as breeding season begins for shorebirds.
However, that still leaves around 70% of the beach open for dogs to roam around free according to the with plenty of people making use of it.
"Brilliant sand and lovely for our dog to run and get a lot of exercise with beautiful views and even when busy so much space you don't feel it," one visitor shared.
