Horror crash as high-speed train to London smashes into van at level crossing

Terrifying footage shows the aftermath of a van being smashed off a level crossing by a high-speed train. According to local media reports, an air ambulance has responded to the scene on Lower Road in Teynham, Kent on Sunday afternoon.

The train is understood to have been travelling to London. Unverified footage posted on social media shows smoke billowing from a fire with at least one police car and an ambulance at the scene.

Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and Network Rail have been approached for details.
