Celebrate Halloween, harvest and half term in spectacular style at London's St Katharine Docks marina, just east of the super spooky Tower of London. The historic waterside estate is inviting families to mark the season by turning it into a vibrant pumpkin paradise.
From Monday October 27 to Saturday November 1, The Coronarium and its beautiful outside terrace will be dressed in a blaze of autumnal splendour with the centrepiece an eye-catching display of pumpkins in every shape and size surrounded by colourful foliage.Visitors can browse and purchase a pumpkin, choosing from an array of varieties to take home or sculpt on-site. For the occasion the top deck of the Coronarium is being converted into a dedicated carving station. Armed with specialist tools and plenty of creative inspiration, families can transform their chosen pumpkins into spooky jack-o'-lanterns, cheerful faces, or intricate designs, while enjoying panoramic views across the historic marina bordered by the Thames.
The stations will provide everything needed for a successful pumpkin transformation whether carvers are newbies or seasoned pros. A pop-up cart will also be on hand serving all the favourite autumnal beverages - think hot chocolates and pumpkin lattes - throughout the week.
The Coronarium's transformation into an autumn wonderland will create a cosy, festive setting and the sense that it's worlds away from the bustling city, although really it's right in the heart of London and close to Tower Hill station. Tucked beside some of London's most iconic landmarks, St Katharine Docks offers a fascinating setting for a memorable family outing. After carving pumpkins and enjoying seasonal treats, families can explore the historic marina with its collection of boats, grab lunch or dinner at one of the waterside restaurants, or simply stroll along the picturesque dockside Open daily from 11am - 5pm, visit https://www.skdocks.co.uk/visit or https://www.instagram.com/stkatsdocks
