Maya Jama could soon be adding another major project to her packed schedule, as she’s reportedly in discussions with Prime Video to front a brand-new entertainment series focused on family connections.
The Love Island host, 30, is said to be in talks for what could be a lucrative deal with the streaming giant. A source told The Sun : "Maya is absolutely red-hot right now and she’s been able to really diversify when it comes to projects."
"The latest discussions have been with Prime Video over an entertainment show," they continued. "Amazon’s streamer has made strong moves into reality with Clarkson’s Farm and Molly Mae’s series but so far haven’t explored shiny-floor, entertainment programming, so Maya would be part of that.

"The show, which is exploring family connections, might not be the project they press ahead with for Maya but the interest to work with her is there."
The Mirror has contacted Maya Jama's representatives for comment.
This wouldn’t be Maya’s first time collaborating with Amazon. In 2019, she appeared at the Twitch Prime Crown Cup eSports event as part of Prime Day festivities.
Meanwhile, Maya is still tied to a rolling contract with ITV2’s Love Island, meaning decisions about her future on the dating series are likely to be made later in the year. She has also signed on for a second series as a panellist on The Masked Singer.
Love Island itself is currently captivating audiences, with an average of 2.5 million viewers tuning in for Casa Amor. Maya has fronted the reality dating show since 2023 after taking over from Laura Whitmore.
Maya’s star power has been rising fast, with recent reports revealing she’s secured an acting role in the second series of Guy Ritchie’s Netflix gangster drama, The Gentlemen.
It is believed she has secretly joined the cast of the hit show, and an official announcement on the subject is expected soon. Maya is reportedly set to portray the glamorous wife of a shady associate connected to Theo James’ lead character, Eddie Horniman.
Filming is already underway at Badminton House in Gloucestershire, the location that doubles as Halstead Manor in the series. A source told The Sun: "Maya is over the moon to land a role in such a massive show with Guy Ritchie at the helm. The Gentlemen was one of 2024's biggest series and it's such a glossy, sexy show. It's a perfect fit."
Earlier this year, Maya sparked speculation about her new role when she shared a photo of a Netflix script on social media, along with a snap alongside Kaya Scodelario, who plays mob boss Susie Glass in The Gentlemen.
She had previously dropped hints about meetings with the streamer, posting a picture of a Netflix-branded cup online. Back in January, the Glow Up presenter revealed that she had been auditioning in secret for her "dream role", and expressed a desire to play a character who is very different from her bubbly TV persona.
She said: "My dream role, I would want to be like a villain or something that's completely not like me, so then it shows that I can actually act. And then people would be like, wow, two different people."
The Gentlemen became a runaway success after debuting on Netflix last year, with its gripping plot about Eddie Horniman, an ex-Army officer who inherits his family estate, only to discover it’s at the heart of a sprawling cannabis empire. The first season amassed 44 million views in just four weeks, and featured big names like Theo James, Vinnie Jones, and Ray Winstone.
