Beat the Chasers is reportedly gearing up for a shake-up that fans of the ITV show absolutely won't want to miss.
The spin-off of The Chaseis apparently poised to welcome a fresh mystery Chaser later this month.
Going by the name Maverick, this quizmaster is set to make their first appearance during the finale of the current series of the programme on October 19, according to the Express.

The newcomer's identity remains shrouded in secrecy, with suggestions that Maverick will team up with five of the established quiz experts on the show, leaving one recognisable face absent from the roster.
A preview teases: "Who is behind the mask, and can they live up to being a part of the greatest quiz team in the world?"
The series, which is fronted by TV favourite Bradley Walsh, pits challengers against all six Chasers - Mark "The Beast" Labbett, Shaun "The Dark Destroyer" Wallace, Anne "The Governess" Hegerty, Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha, Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan, and Darragh "The Menace" Ennis - in a nail-biting battle against time for substantial cash rewards.
During the initial stage, participants must endure a nerve-wracking multiple-choice Cash Builder to secure their place against the quiz legends.

A flawless performance grants them a "super offer" - the opportunity to challenge all six Chasers for an eye-watering £600,000.
Speculation about a fresh quizmaster has set programme enthusiasts buzzing, with numerous fans heading online to ponder the mystery person's identity.
"Wonder who it is though," one individual wondered on Reddit.
Another viewer speculated: "There was a guy who Paul Sinha said was possibly the best contestant he's ever faced. Was only a young guy as well. I wonder if him. There was also a woman who got 27 on her own in a final Chase YEARS ago."
"Maverick - it's obviously Tom Cruise..." quipped another fan of the quiz show, while one fan thought the mystery contestant could be a celebrity guest making a one-off appearance.
A different viewer suggested: "Gonna guess it's Barry from EastEnders. He's a decent quizzer!
ITV has been approached for a response.
