The key thing on Friday is the heartbreaking moment Kirk Sutherland has to break the news of Craig's death to his ex and Craig's mum Beth Tinker. Beth left the show last year, blackmailed by Kit Green to leave the street.
Kit threatened Craig's police career if she did not leave, and now a year on he's linked to his murder. Not only was he awful to Craig before his sad demise, but Craig's killer Mick Michaelis attacked him out of rage over his enemy Kit after their pasts were exposed.
So if Beth was to learn the truth, how would she feel about Kit and what he's caused? Kirk will make the sad call to Beth on Friday as confirmed in spoilers, shown clutching Craig's lucky tie and clearly in pieces as he calls Beth to reveal the horrifying news her son has been killed while on duty.
Whether this will lead to a return for Beth remains to be seen. Fans are hoping actress Lisa George may reprise the role for the funeral.

Lisa Swain is one of two characters no doubt left feeling guilty in the fallout to Craig's death. Detective Lisa will struggle after she encouraged Craig to get back out on the street as an officer, moments before his final shift.
Telling Craig he'd achieve amazing things after Kit's nasty comments, she told him the best way to prove everyone wrong would be to do the best he can as an officer, leaving him hopeful about his future. Of course Lisa could never have known the tragedy in store as Craig encountered Mick and ended up losing his life.
Lisa will be shown breaking down to her partner Carla Connor in the next episode as the weight of what has happened leaves her in turmoil. She will question the sudden and tragic events that no one could have seen coming, grieving the loss of her colleague and friend.
Carla comforts her devastated girlfriend in emotional scenes, as Lisa questions what people would differently if they knew what was around the corner. She's also desperate not to waste any more time, and to grab happiness while she can. Kit will also likely feel guilty over the way he treated Craig, with him already seen blaming himself for Craig being out on the street instead of on his placement.

Weatherfield will be in mourning of Craig's shocking death as the attack leaves everyone reeling. On Friday we will see a group of characters head to The Rovers to be together at such a difficult time.
Residents remember Craig, as they try to process the awful events of the previous day. Residents including David Platt, Gary Windass, Kirk and Maria Sutherland and Asha Alahan, who tried to save Craig, will feature in the moving scenes.
Fans are fearing it could spark a new plot for Maria who was the one who found a badly wounded Craig bleeding out. She did what she could to help him, and now viewers wonder if his traumatic death will lead to a mental health storyline for Maria.
Mick arrested?Spoilers for next week appear to confirm that Mick will be arrested for Craig's murder, or another crime. In the spoilers it's revealed Mick gets beaten up in his prison cell - therefore confirming he's locked up.
As his son Brody tries to deal with recent events not believing his dad is guilty, Kit finds himself in more drama. With Mick leaving the soap this summer, along with his wife Lou, does this mean Mick gets arrested and sent away for his crime against Craig?
Speaking of Mick, Friday's episode is a dramatic one. He takes Bernie Winter hostage to get to her son Kit it seems, leading to a showdown. Images show the trio in dark scenes as Mick wields his bat once more - likely the one used to kill Craig.
Bernie is initially grabbed by Mick before being shown on the floor, with her hands tied. Kit shows up and a showdown ensues, but will Mick claim another victim and leave someone in a bad way?
