A new Hero is coming to EA FC 26 Ultimate Team, and you can vote for who it will be

A new Hero item is coming to EA FC 26 Ultimate Team, and EA Sports is allowing you to vote for which player will be added to the new game.

EA FC 26 is less than a month away, with the full game being released worldwide on Friday, September 26, while players with EA FC 26 early access can access the game from Friday, September 19. As part of the EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition pre-order bonuses, an Icon player is included, with EA Sports revealing all the new FUT Icons and their ratings last month.

No new FUT Heroes have been confirmed just yet by EA, despite the game only being a few weeks away from release, but for the first time, EA is allowing the public to vote for who they want to see as a FUT Hero in EA FC 26, with three players available to choose from.

These are the options for the newest EA FC 26 Hero, and how you can vote.

How to vote for the new EA FC 26 Hero

EA has released a public vote on the EA Sports website, allowing the public to choose who they want to see as a new FUT Hero in EA FC 26. There are three players to choose from in total who all played for Bayern Munich.

The three players you can choose from are as follows:

• Stefan Effenberg
• Claudio Pizarro
• Giovane Elber

After many years in partnership with Konami's eFootball, Bayern Munich are officially a partner with EA Sports from EA FC 26 onwards. The partnership has already resulted in the return of the Allianz Arena in-game, as well as Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala starring on the EA FC 26 cover.

Now, the partnership will see a Bayern Munich legend added to EA FC 26 as a Hero, but the public will get the final say thanks to the vote.

If you played FIFA between FIFA 14 and FIFA 17, you should be familiar with Stefan Effenberg. The German was part of the original batch of Legends in Ultimate Team, but he was removed from the game in FIFA 18 following the rebrand from Legends to Icons.

In EA FC 25, we saw Victor Ibarbo, Gervinho, and Seydou Doumbia added as new FUT Heroes halfway through the Ultimate Team cycle, an addition that was well received by the Ultimate Team community. Allowing the Ultimate Team community to now vote for upcoming Heroes is another fantastic idea, and I hope we see more of this ahead of EA FC 26's release.
