Helicopter service approved in several cities of MP, including Indore, Ujjain, and the decision of the Mohan government

MP Helicopter Service: MP Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the objective of this service is to provide affordable, permanent helicopter service between major cities, religious places, and tourist places of the state.

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, on Tuesday (September 23) approved the operation of helicopter services within the state in collaboration with private operators under a public-private partnership (PPP). The aim is to provide affordable helicopter services to major cities, religious sites, national parks, and tourist destinations.

 

After the cabinet meeting, Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya told the media that private operators will provide helicopter services at selected locations between airports, helipads, and airstrips across the state.

Cities are divided into 3 sectors for helicopter service.

The minister said, "For the operation of helicopter services, the major cities of the state have been divided into three sectors, under which Indore, Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Mandu, Maheshwar, Gandhisagar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Hanuwantiya, Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, Barwani, Alirajpur, Ratlam, Jhabua, Nalkheda, Bhopal, and Jabalpur have been kept in Sector-1."

In which cities is helicopter service available?

He further said, "Similarly, Bhopal, Madhai, Pachmarhi, Tamia, Chhindwara, Sanchi, Indore, Datia, Damoh, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Kuno (Sheopur), Orchha, Guna, Rajgarh, Sagar, Hoshangabad, Betul, Tikamgarh and Jabalpur have been placed in Sector-2 and Jabalpur, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Chitrakoot, Sarsi, Parsili, Maihar, Satna, Panna, Khajuraho, Katni, Rewa, Singrauli, Amarkantak, Seoni, Sidhi, Mandla, Pench, Dindori, Bhopal and Indore are in Sector-3."

Trade and tourism activities will get a boost – Vijayvargiya.

Vijayvargiya said, "The objective of this service is to provide affordable and sustainable helicopter service between major cities, religious sites, national parks, and tourist destinations in the state. This will facilitate the movement of passengers, tourists, businesspeople, investors, and the general public. This initiative will boost business and tourism activities in the state and create new employment opportunities."

Approval of revised cost for Satpura Thermal Power Plant

The Cabinet also approved the revised cost of the Satpura Thermal Power Plant at Sarni at Rs 11,678.74 crore and the Amarkantak Thermal Power Plant at Chachai at Rs 11,476.31 crore. According to an official statement, both projects will be financed in a 20:80 equity-to-debt ratio. The state government will provide Rs 684.53 crore for the Satpura project and Rs 699.90 crore for the Amarkantak project. The remaining amount will be arranged by the power generation companies from their own resources.

Senior resident doctors will be recruited.

The Cabinet approved the creation of 354 new Senior Resident positions in 13 autonomous medical colleges, in accordance with National Medical Commission standards. These positions have been created in the autonomous medical colleges of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Satna, Vidisha, Ratlam, Khandwa, Shahdol, Shivpuri, Datia, and Chhindwara.

Vijayvargiya said, "This decision will ensure that medical colleges operate in accordance with national standards. Furthermore, postgraduate students will be able to pursue senior residency at their own institutions, providing qualified medical teachers in non-clinical and para-clinical subjects."
