Covid-19 Active Cases In India: The number of active cases of covid-19 across the country has increased to 3758, while 360 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has released new figures on Sunday (June 1, 2025).
According to the data given on the ministry's website, till Sunday, Kerala, Maharashtra and Delhi have recorded the highest number of active cases of Covid-19 at 1400, 485 and 436 respectively. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 2 people have died due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in the country. India currently has a total of 3,758 active cases of Covid-19, with 363 new cases recorded between Saturday and Sunday.
These states have the highest number of active Covid cases
Kerala topped the Covid tally chart with 1400 active cases, followed by Maharashtra (485 cases) and Delhi (436 cases). According to the Health Ministry data, Kerala, Maharashtra and Delhi reported 64, 18 and 61 new cases respectively in the last 24 hours.
How many deaths due to Covid in India?
India has recorded 2 deaths (1 each in Kerala and Karnataka) due to Covid-19 in a span of 24 hours. A 63-year-old man with pulmonary TB, squamous cell carcinoma of buccal mucosa and accidental Covid positive died in Karnataka, while a 24-year-old woman suffering from Covid-19 and sepsis hypertension DCLD died in Kerala.

News agency PTI quoted an official as saying that a 60-year-old woman infected with Covid-19 died in Delhi. This is the first death in Delhi amid a surge in cases. The woman was suffering from acute intestinal obstruction after laparotomy and was found to be Covid-19 positive by chance.
