Kolkata: Doctors Forum on Thursday had demanded a complaint against Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Kanchan Mullick after he had threatened a senior doctor Mehoboobar Alam of School of Tropical Medicine of transfer due to alleged delay in treatment.
Alam however, said that the tone in which the TMC legislator spoke with him is appalling and also that he had complained at the necessary quarters.

School of Tropical Medicine Director Subhashis Kamal Guha said the incident has been reported to the Health Department.
TMC minister Shashi Panja after getting the information had visited the hospital and later talking to the media she said, “Nothing has happened which can prompt the MLA to behave like this. I have informed the Health department and also the Speaker and necessary actions will be taken.”

The doctors were seen wearing black badges while doing their duty and police were also seen in the hospital to take stock of the incident.
Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari mentioned that such a behaviour from Kanchan Mallick is expected as he has support of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
