Sonu Nigam Narrowly Escapes Major Mishap As Car Hits Him On Mumbai Streets, His Reaction Goes Viral (VIDEO)

One of the most popular Indian singers, Sonu Nigam, escaped a major mishap on the streets of Mumbai on Monday evening after he was hit by a car while he stepped out to meet his friends. The singer was startled by the incident, and a video of the same has now gone viral.

In the video, Sonu can be seen walking on the streets of Mumbai along with his bodyguard, when a car started moving despite the singer being right in front of it. The car then hit Sonu, but he quickly stepped aside and his guard too came to his rescue, avoiding any major accident.

However, the incident left Sonu momentarily angry and he was seen turning and giving a death stare to the driver of the car, before regaining his composure and walking away.

He then caught up with his friends and gave them a tight hug before entering a posh restaurant in the city.

Sonu recently made headlines after he faced backlash from the Kannada music industry and the people of Karnataka for declining to sing a Kannada song at a concert in Bengaluru. Not just that, but he also likened it to the ghastly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, post which he was accused of hurting cultural sentiments and an FIR was lodged against him in Bengaluru.

The singer, however, later clarified that he refused to sing a Kannada song at the concert as the boys demanding him to sing were rather threatening him, and because the entire band was following a pre-planned flowchart of songs. He revealed that he performed Kannada songs for almost an hour later, as it was already a part of his gig plan.

On Sunday, a team of Bengaluru Police reportedly reached his Mumbai residence and recorded his statement on video in connection with the case.
