Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Lahar on Friday to attend a conference for self-help groups, where he made several significant announcements.
Notably, he declared that the government college in Alampur would be renamed in honour of Devi Ahilyabai, a revered historical figure.
In a push for local development, CM announced plans to establish industries on 100 bighas in Lahar, aimed at boosting the region's economy. He also addressed the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, asserting the need to take decisive action against terrorism by "killing the terrorists in their homes." The Chief Minister's visit included the inauguration and foundation-laying of development projects worth Rs 117 crore.
These projects will enhance infrastructure related to roads, electricity, water supply, health and education. Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed at the helipad, with a grand 2-km red carpet laid from Nai Galla Mandi Ground to Maa Mangala Devi Ground. The atmosphere was festive, with over 20 JCB machines showering flowers on his convoy.
A strong police presence ensured security, while local BJP workers decorated the area with welcome gates and stages.
