Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) is set to soon resume its crackdown on unsafe and dilapidated buildings across the city, with a renewed focus ahead of the upcoming festive season. In preparation, IMC Commissioner Shivam Verma on Saturday held a review meeting with all newly appointed building officers and inspectors at the Indore Smart City office.
He directed the officers to expedite the clearance of all pending building permission applications in their respective areas, stressing that timely and transparent service delivery is a top priority for the corporation. He further instructed that all construction and removal actions must strictly follow legal procedures.
In light of the upcoming religious and social gatherings, IMC is preparing to intensify inspections of old and potentially dangerous buildings. The civic body is expected to soon restart its city-wide drive against such rickety structures to prevent any safety hazards, especially in crowded localities.
