When asked if Alcaraz plays the best Tennis among the current players, Gavaskar said, while speaking to Star Sports:
"Yes, I think so. I think he's moving around so well and then he's got all the shots in the book. It can be a bit of a showman sometimes, trying his drop shots, 'Oh maybe he should be finishing the point off. But that's why people come to watch."

"I know last year Alcaraz swept him away with three straight sets" - Sunil Gavaskar
When asked if Djokovic can triumph against Sinner, the 76-year-old said he hopes to see that and the Serbian to lift his 25th grand slam.
"I think Djokovic. I know last year Alcaraz swept him away with three straight sets. But I'm kind of hoping that he will be able to find that one last win to win the 25th."
