Hartalika Teej: Hartalika Teej is being celebrated on 26 August 2025 this year. On this day, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati are worshipped with the family. Many married and unmarried girls also fast on Hartalika Teej. Various types of dishes are made at home on festivals. In such a situation, if you are fasting on Hartalika Teej, then prepare delicious and satvik food for the family without spending much energy.

Shahi Paneer
It is made easily. To make Shahi Paneer, fry whole spices like bay leaf, big ajayachi, cumin, and cinnamon by adding light ghee or butter. Now add cashews and tomatoes to it and fry it till the tomato becomes slightly soft.
Once this mixture is roasted, cool it and grind it in a mixer. Before grinding, take out the whole spices. Now heat oil or ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, asafoetida. Then mix the tomato paste that you had made and fry it. When the tomato starts leaving oil, add spices like turmeric, Kashmiri red chilli, and coriander powder. If you want, you can also mix Shahi Paneer masala available in the market in a cup of milk.
Use milk or cream to increase the gravy. Then add paneer cubes to the vegetable. Cover and cook for five minutes on low flame. Garnish by adding cream and green coriander on top.
Matar Pulao
First of all, soak the Basmati rice in water for 20–25 minutes. Now, heat ghee or oil in a deep vessel or cooker. Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom, and fry. Then add ginger and green chillies and fry lightly. Add green peas and stir for a minute or two. Now add the soaked rice and mix lightly with the spices. Add water and salt, and let it boil. Reduce the flame and cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, until the rice swells. Garnish with green coriander and serve hot matar pulao with raita or curd.
Make Seviyan
You can make Seviyan as a sweet with food. It is very easy to make. You need only three things to make Seviyan. Milk, sugar, and a little vermicelli are enough. Boil all three on the gas for 10 minutes. Add cardamom powder and dry fruits, and in minutes a delicious dessert will be ready for dinner.

Puri or Naan
You can serve the food with Puri or Kachori. Or you can also make Naan and Laccha Paratha. Knead the dough in advance so that when you start rolling, the dough sets properly. Making Puri Kachori is easy. You can prepare the stuffing or filling of boiled potatoes for Kachori. Or roast the ground lentils with spices and mix them while kneading the dough. Kachori can be made from it.
