Date of Ganesh Chaturthi 2025

According to Drik Panchang, this year the Chaturthi date of the Bhadrapada month will start from 1:54 pm on August 26 and will last till 3:44 pm on August 27. According to Udaya Tithi, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 27 August, and Ganapati will be established on this day.

Ganesha idol

For the installation of Lord Ganesha in the house, always choose an idol in which the trunk of Lord Ganesha is bent towards the left. This is considered extremely auspicious.

It is considered best to bring a sitting idol of Ganpati ji home, because it brings happiness and prosperity.

The face of the idol should be happy and cheerful. Also, see that he should have a blessing posture in one hand and a modak in the other hand.

Method of Ganpati installation

For Ganpati installation, always keep the idol in the north-east direction. Keep in mind that his face should be towards the north.

Before placing the idol on the pedestal, clean the pedestal thoroughly and purify it with Ganga water.

Make sure to give place to Riddhi-Siddhi near the idol. If idols are not available, then you can keep betel nut in their place.

Install a pot filled with water on the right side of Ganesha. After this, meditate on Ganpati Bappa by holding flowers and Akshat in your hand.
