The BCCI’s Senior Men’s Selection Committee on Tuesday named the India A squad for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council’s Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 14 to 23.
The matches will be hosted at the West End International Cricket Stadium, Doha.
The team will be led by wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma, with Naman Dhir serving as vice-captain. The 15-member squad features a mix of consistent domestic performers and promising IPL stars who have recently grabbed attention with their power-packed performances.
Among the new-age names, Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and Ashutosh Sharma stand out as exciting inclusions. Priyansh Arya, known for his aggressive top-order batting, made headlines during the IPL 2025 season with his fearless stroke play and match-winning knocks. On the other hand, teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, adds fire to India's opening stands. Placed in Group B with Oman, UAE, and Pakistan A, India A will look to dominate the field and test its next line of international-ready cricketers. The tournament serves as a critical platform for grooming players who could soon feature in the senior national setup.
