GAIL Q4 Results: Profit nearly flat at Rs 2,506 crore

State-owned GAIL (India) Ltd on Tuesday reported a modest 1.3% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,505.61 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 2,474.31 crore reported in the year-ago period.

However, sequentially, the company's net profit fell 39.4% from Rs 4,084.24 crore in the December 2024 quarter.

The Maharatna public sector undertaking's board recommended a final dividend of Rs 1 per share of face value Rs 10 each for FY25, subject to shareholder approval. “This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 6.50 per equity share paid during the year by the Company,” GAIL said in a stock exchange filing.

Consolidated revenue from operations in the January-March period rose 11% year-over-year to Rs 36,551.15 crore, up from Rs 32,833.24 crore in the year-ago quarter. Revenue was slightly lower than the Rs 36,937.05 crore reported in the preceding quarter.

The record date for the final dividend payment will be communicated later, the company said.

Following the earnings announcement, shares of GAIL closed 2.3% lower on Tuesday at Rs 183.45 on the BSE.
