"Yes, it is always a challenge. We have seen how they (Australia) played in the ODI series and also in the T20 World Cup. Power play is always important," he told PTI.
"You saw in the Asia Cup, he (Bumrah) took the responsibility of bowling two overs minimum in the power play, so it is good that he is raising his hand, acting as if he is that guy who will take charge. It is going to be a good challenge, definitely against the Aussie team in the power play," he added.

Bumrah has 17 wickets in 14 T20Is vs Australia. It is the most wickets by any bowler in India vs Australia T20Is. The 31-year-old’s T20I record itself is pretty good with 96 wickets in 75 games. Add to that an average of 17.85 and an economy rate of 6.35 plus best figures of 3/7, you get a winning combo. Bumrah’s strike rate is 16.8 so that means not only does he keep the runs down but also picks up wickets regularly. The Aussies have good reason to be wary.
India’s T20I Report Card in AustraliaIndia have never lost a T20I bilateral series in Australia. They have drawn two and won two. The Men in Blue’s best performance was the 3-0 whitewash under MS Dhoni in 2016. When they last played a T20I series Down Under, it was under Virat Kohli in 2020 and they won 2-1. Suryakumar shall look to emulate ‘Captain Cool’ and ‘King’ when he takes the field.
